The 61st High School State DECA Conference is being held in Bismarck at the Ramkota Hotel, March 9-11, 2014. More than 400 high school students are expected to attend the conference, competing in one of 45 competitive event categories. The theme for the conference is “MAKE IT COUNT”. This is a wonderful opportunity for high school students to get hands-on experience in various aspects of business.
The committee is looking for judges for this coming competition. There are several categories that are available for judging. There is a need for 116 judges for the 45 competitive events that will be offered to students. Currently there is a need for 69 more judges. Only two weeks left to sign up and volunteer your expertise.
Event competition will be held on Monday, March 10.
Judges are needed to hold the conference in Bismarck.
Judges are needed for the following times:
Role Play Events: 8am – 12pm
Prepared Events: 10am – 4pm
There is a need for business people to evaluate students on their performance. All materials are provided for judges, including an evaluation form and how to select the top student performers. Winners will be eligible to represent North Dakota at the 2014 International DECA Conference in Atlanta, Georgia in May.
