On September 17, members of the YPN Service Team volunteered selling beverages at a pop booth during the Downtowners Street Fair 2016 on behalf of the Downtown Business Association of Bismarck (also known as “the Downtowners”).
The mission of the Downtowners is to serve and support the growth and development of downtown Bismarck to benefit our members and the entire community. They are a non-profit organization that promotes member businesses and the city center as the vital core of the community.
In addition to the Street Fair, members also volunteered at the 2016 Kroll’s Diner Bismarck Marathon. Members assisted at Cottonwood Park to deconstruct the start/finish line area of the race.
The Bismarck Marathon is one of the state’s premier running events. With breathtaking scenery along the out-and-back course that parallels the Missouri River, runners are treated to a fast, flat course. An important part of the Marathon’s mission is to support local charities. Preference is given to charities that benefit youth.
