The Bismarck-Mandan YPN opened Thanksgiving week by giving back to the community Monday, Nov. 19, at Ruth Meiers Hospitality House. Twenty YP members took part in the Service Team event, and the group assembled 170 holiday bags filled with food that will go to Bismarck-Mandan-area families in need over Thanksgiving. After packing the bags, the YP crew labeled new food donations and restocked the shelves of the food pantry.
The Service Team will continue in the spirit of giving in December, as it plans to ring bells for the Salvation Army December 4-6 at Kirkwood Mall. YPN members can sign up to ring the bell between 5 and 8 pm each day. Locations include Scheels and JCP. Interested members should sign up by November 30 to participate and should plan to represent the YPN by wearing their YPN shirt.
