Bismarck State College sponsored a “5:01 Social” for the YPN on Monday, October 26. Thirty people attended the event held at the National Energy Center of Excellence. Everyone was treated to complimentary appetizers and refreshments.
BSC employee, YPN member and partner liaison, Amy Brown, introduced President Larry Skogen, Associate YP for Continuing Education, Training, & Innovation (CETI) Carla Hixon, and CETI Program Manager Alison Zarr.
Larry spoke about BSC’s upcoming symposium titled “The ’60s: Turmoil and Transformation” which will take place November 3-5. Some of the exciting performers Larry mentioned include Bob Eubanks, host of “The Newlywed Game,” Dawn Wells, who played Mary Ann on “Gilligan’s Island,” and renowned Beatles’ historian, Mark Lewisohn. Alison told the group about BSC’s enrichment classes, which are offered fall, winter, and spring. Types of classes offered include languages & culture, healthy living, money matters, and creative arts.
