What Is the
Bismarck-Mandan Young Professionals Network?

Our Mission

The mission of the Young Professionals Network is to enhance the culture for young professionals in the Bismarck-Mandan community through professional development, entrepreneurship, community service and social networking; to create new opportunities for members; and to connect members to organizations in the Bismarck-Mandan community.

What We’re About

What Is the Young Professionals Network All About?

The Young Professionals Network hosts several events throughout the year. These events are the perfect opportunities for attendees to develop themselves professionally, seek new ways to put their skills and talents to great use, and make friends and new business connections.

Our diverse events offer something to everyone, although attendance at one is never mandatory. Each member is encouraged to join us at whichever events best meet their personal and professional objectives, time constraints and stage of professional development. Certain events during the year are also opened up to family members, guests, and anyone interested in learning more about the Network.

Young Professionals Network members may also help our board plan and organize events. Doing so is a great way for members to gain invaluable management experience as they further our mission. Our members additionally benefit from unique network outreach opportunities.

Who Can Join?

Membership with the Young Professionals Network is open to anyone who is between the ages of 21 and 40 and plays an active role within the Bismarck-Mandan professional community. We welcome recent college graduates and industry veterans alike, just like we do long-standing members of our community and recent additions to it.

How It Began

Our organization was started by a group of young professionals who recognized the lack of available opportunities for themselves and their peers in the Bismarck-Mandan area. In addition to solving this problem they wished to enhance diversity, cultivate entrepreneurial spirit, increase cultural and professional development opportunities, and help create a channel for young professionals to voice their concerns in their community. After some careful groundwork, the Bismarck-Mandan Young Professionals Network was born in 2005!

FUNDING

In addition to annual membership dues, the Young Professionals Network is funded by our generous partners. These local businesses and organizations share our mission of enhancing the culture for young professionals throughout the Bismarck-Mandan area, and make it known to our community that they value and encourage our future leaders.

If you would like to learn more about how you can help further our mission and attract an innovative and motivated younger workforce, then we welcome you to learn more about partnership on our Partner page.
