The Bismarck-Mandan Young Professionals Network (YPN) honored six of its members and two distinguished business partners with awards Thursday, May 7, at the Cinco Annual Meeting and Anniversary Celebration.
Five of our outstanding members were recognized for their commitment, passion and immense dedication to the YPN. Amanda Bakkedahl was awarded the 2015 Crystal Reid Excellence Award for serving the network and community. Britni Schwartz received the 2015 Great Plains Award for leadership and innovation in the network, and Cody Schoonover was honored with the 2015 Pioneer Award for going above and beyond the call of duty. Amy Brown was given the 2015 Sakakawea Award for giving selflessly of her time, and Viva Lauinger received the 2015 Theodore Roosevelt Award for persistence and dedication in the network.
The YPN held a Recruitment campaign from October through May in an effort to boost and reward membership. Emily Dalzell received the Top Recruiter award for recruiting the most new members in that time period. Emily received a $150 Visa gift card for her efforts.
“As YPN continues to thrive, I’m excited to see so many excellent young professionals step up in the organization,” said president TJ Jerke. “There will be many great things to look forward to in the next 10 years as these individuals continue to find unique ways to move the network, and community, forward.”
Although our members are a huge part of the network, our business partners also play an immeasurable role. The YPN is supported through membership dues and partnerships with the business community. Two of these valued business partners were also honored at the celebration. Townsquare Media and Odney Advertising were named the 2015 Distinguished Business Partners of the Year.
