YP Roundtable: Doug Burgum
December 16, 2013 @ 11:45 am
A native of Arthur, North Dakota, Doug earned a Bachelor of University Studies degree from North Dakota State University (NDSU), then went on to achieve an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business. In 1983, Doug returned to North Dakota and joined Great Plains Software, then a very small start up company in the computer software industry. Doug was chairman and CEO for Great Plains through its strategic acquisition by Microsoft Corporation, largest acquisition Microsoft had ever made. Doug also founded Kilbourne Group, a company committed to the redevelopment of downtown Fargo and co-founded Arthur Ventures, a regional venture capital fund. He has served as a member of the advisory council for the Stanford Graduate School of Business, the board of directors of SuccessFactors, and numerous other companies.
Please join us for this rare chance to hear Doug Burgum speak to the Bismarck-Mandan Young Professionals about his road to success and any struggles along the way. In typical Roundtable fashion, Doug will also take any direct questions in an open Q & A.
This event is free. Seating is limited to the first 150 registrants. Lunch will be provided.
