First Community Credit Union (FCCU) hosted a 5:01 Social on Thursday, June 12. Many YP’ers showed up to enjoy tacos-in-a-bag, socializing and some fun activities. FCCU has been a long time Gold Partner of the YP Network and hosts this event almost every year.
As part of the evening’s activities, attendees were given an FCCU koozie with a playing card and rules for a poker/trivia game in which players were able to earn additional cards by answering trivia questions correctly. At the end of the event, whomever was able to put together the best poker hand from the cards won prizes!
- Derek Hall – $150 Visa gift card
- Mallory Westby – $100 Scheels gift card
- Matt Moen – $50 Blarney Stone gift card
Guests also had the opportunity to hear about FCCU’s many services, including the “Kasasa” program which offers credit union members cash back on debit card purchases, a high-paying savings account, nationwide ATM fee refunds, free online banking, bill pay and mobile banking. On top of that, the program allows members to directly deposit the savings from their transactions into their savings account.
Thank you to FCCU for hosting another fun, engaging social event for the YPN.
A 5:01 Social is an afterwork social event held at the facility of a YPN Partner or a local business. They begin promptly at 5:01pm, hence the name, allowing most Network members to attend immediately following work. Food and refreshments are always served. The event is an opportunity for the hosting business to get exposure in front of young professionals and network with members of YPN organization.
The 5:01 Social is one of the oldest events of the Network, dating back to 2005, and has continued on an ongoing basis ever since. While these events are primarily a function of the Social Team, the Entrepreneur Team (E-Team) often assists with connecting our organization with the businesses.
