Mallory Westby, personal loan officer at Gate City Bank, initially joined the Bismarck-Mandan Young Professionals Network when she moved to Bismarck from her hometown of Sheyenne, ND. Mallory joined both the Service and Social Teams as a way to meet new people and be involved in the community and a few months later she was selected as a co-lead of the Social Team. Mallory currently is a Recruit & Activate co-chair, serves on both the Ambassador and Entrepreneur Teams, and was on the Chill-N-Bowl event planning committee.
“I think it is important to be involved in your community for personal and professional development,” says Mallory. Besides the network, she also serves on the Bismarck Dollars for Scholars board and volunteers each month with the local United Way Dolly Parton Imagination Library.
When Mallory has free time she enjoys reading or watching a good show such as, Survivor, The Walking Dead, and Modern Family. She even says she could do well during a pop culture trivia night, but hasn’t had the chance to put herself to the test! Mallory’s favorite authors include James Patterson, Nicholas Sparks and Jodi Picoult, who wrote Mallory’s favorite quote, “Sometimes words are not big enough to contain all the feelings you are trying to pour into them.”
When asked about Mallory, Jerry Haas and Kayla Hieb, co-leads of the Ambassador Team, only had good things to say. She is the type of person who goes above and beyond helping to coordinate some of our events and presentations. Her involvement doesn’t end with the Ambassador team as you can find her at the majority of the network’s events!
“We greatly appreciate Mallory Westby’s contributions to the ambassador team of the Young Professionals Network!” say Jerry Haas and Kayla Hieb.
