Twenty-three teams and over 100 people convened at Midway Lanes on Saturday, February 11th for the 9th Annual YPN Chill-N-Bowl. The event raised a record-breaking total of $2,867 for our 2016 non-profit partner, Bismarck Cancer Center Foundation. This money was raised through entry fees paid by each team, a ‘spin to win’ game with chocolate and wine prizes just in time for Valentine’s Day, and a 50/50 raffle. The 50/50 raffle was won by YPN member Kayla Hieb, who very graciously donated her prize back to the Bismarck Cancer Center Foundation.
Four separate contests are put on at the Chill-N-Bowl: chili, costume/team spirit, team name, and bowling. A combination of the team chili and bowling scores is calculated to crown the grand champion winner of the Chill-N-Bowl traveling trophy.
Here are this year’s winners:
Best Chili and Best Costume/Team Spirit
Reptar on Ice – Katie Schlitz, Kelsey Baumann, Chris Nelson, Dorothee Wacheux, Heather Shieve
Best Team Name, Best Bowling Score, and Grand Champions
Pinsane in the Tenth Frame – Eric Miller, Jason Schmidt, Justin Davys, Andy Schmitz
Thank you very much to Jim Mellon and everyone at Midway Lanes for hosting another great Chill-N-Bowl. Thank you to members of the YPN Service Team who volunteered during the fundraising activities. Congratulations to all teams who took home awards, and thanks to all who attended to make it a fantastic event. We hope to see you next year for the milestone 10th Annual Chill-N-Bowl!
