Like pioneers of old, a group of Bismarck-Mandan Young Professionals members packed up and headed West on August 17 for the third annual YP campout in Medora.
While the gang was small, the fun was far from it.
After setting up the campsite, the group of five ventured into Medora for an afternoon of mini-golf, a tour of the Chateau de Mores, an old time photo shoot, dinner and impromptu country dancing lessons at a local saloon.
The campers ended the night around a fire, enjoying flame-broiled bratwursts and peanut butter cup s’mores.
Best of all, nobody was bit by a rattle snake or gored by an angry bison, though a well-fed squirrel at the campsite did come close to falling off a tree onto someone’s head.
