Keep Bismarck (& Mandan) Beautiful Day

Posted by Steven Richard on Saturday, April 28th, 2018 in | Comments (0)

On Saturday, April 28th, the city of Bismarck will host a city-wide clean up event from 9am to Noon.

We will meet at North Central Park, 830 Central Avenue in Bismarck. Usually there are assorted breakfast goodies available for volunteers. Here is a link to the event FaceBook page: Keep Bismarck Beautiful

Volunteers are encouraged to wear long pants and bring a pair of work gloves. Garbage bags will be provided. Please RSVP below.

In addition, the City of Mandan Community Beautification Committee and Mandan Progress Organization are also seeking volunteers to pick up litter on Saturday, April 28, from 9 a.m. to noon. Volunteers will be treated to an appreciation lunch featuring drawings for a variety of family-friendly prizes donated by local merchants and organizations. An initial 9 a.m. gathering at Dykshoorn Park on west Main Street serves as an opportunity to receive instructions, trash bags (provided in part by Scuba One), safety vests (until gone) and gloves if needed. Volunteers are asked to wear long pants and bring protective work or garden type gloves.

Registration is helpful for planning purposes. Please sign up at www.cityofmandan.com/register. Updates will be posted to the City of Mandan and “Keep Mandan Beautiful” Facebook pages. The alternative date in case of inclement weather is May 5.

Donuts donated by Bearscat Bakehouse will be served at the initial gathering. Food for the noon lunch is donated in part by Cloverdale Foods, Dan’s Supermarket, Pepsi and Frito-Lay with grilling services provided by Dakota Community Bank and Trust.
