The Chill-N-Bowl is this Saturday, February 21, 2015. In it’s seventh year, this has become one of the YP Network’s largest events, selling out the last two years. With that has come the coveted grand-champion traveling trophy (see here). Each year, bowlers and chili aficionados come together to demonstrate their skills for the chance to win this prized piece of hardware.
Last year however, after two-time winner The Kyle Herman Agency was awarded the grand champion honors, the trophy went missing.
Since that time, the trophy has had quite the journey, being spotted in numerous places.
…including the FCS Division 1 Football Championship Game…
…the NFL playoffs…
…even President Obama’s desk.
It was most recently spotted back in Bismarck-Mandan with a mysterious masked man who was threatening to throw it off the Memorial Bridge.
Will it be recovered by Saturday? Luckily, our investigators have been diligently following the case and we are confident the trophy will be at Midway Lanes in time for the seventh annual Chill-N-Bowl. See you this Saturday for what’s guaranteed to be a great time!
Chill-N-Bowl is a fundraiser that combines a bowling tournament with a chili cook-off. Teams compete for several awards, including the coveted “grand champion” traveling trophy. Since 2009, the event has developed into the largest fundraiser for the YP Network itself. The YPN also donates a portion of the proceeds to a charitable organization each year, this year being Special Olympics North Dakota – Bismarck.
