Only one team knew the first five word’s to Van Halen’s “Panama,” but all 10 groups knew how to raise money for a good cause.
On Friday, March 30, those 10 teams comprised of more than 90 people gathered at the Elk’s to compete in a trivia fundraiser to benefit the Bismarck-Mandan Young Professional Network’s team for the Medcenter One Great American Bike Race.
In total, the night sponsored by the YP Network’s service team raised $1,200 for GABR, which helps area kids and young adults with cerebral palsy and related disabilities pay for medical expenses not covered by insurance.
Trivia master Scott Wild of the Wild Inspire and the Wild Trivia tour donated his time as host of the trivia. Wild also is a member of the YP Network’s wisdom team. The Medcenter One Foundation provided appetizers for the event.
GABR is 9 a.m.–3:15 p.m. Saturday, April 28, at Century High School. To keep the YP Network team’s fundraising momentum going, visit www.firstgiving.com/process/teamarea/default.asp?did=2633&teamid=170563 to make an online donation. To learn more about the cause, visit www.medcenterone.com/gabr.
