The Bismarck Mandan Young Professionals Network (YPN) recently presented a $1,580 donation to its 2018-19 Non-Profit Partner Ministry on the Margins. The donation represents the amount raised by YPN for Ministry on the Margins since October 2018 when it was selected as Non-Profit Partner.
The partnership, which comes about as part of the YPN strategic plan, allowed Ministry on the Margins the opportunity to connect with young professionals from around Bismarck-Mandan while providing YPN members with service opportunities throughout the year. In addition, the YPN directed all fundraising and most volunteer efforts for the next year toward the organization.
The Bismarck-Mandan Young Professionals Network accepted applications from network members in June and July and selected three non-profit finalists. Each of the three finalist organizations had the chance to give a short presentation to the YPN Leadership Team in early September and YPN leadership ultimately selected Ministry on the Margins.
“The YP Network is proud to support Ministry on the Margins as our 2019 Nonprofit Partner,” said YPN President, Jillian Lagasse. She continues, “We recognize the work Sr. Kathleen has done to serve those in our community who are underserved and who have fallen through the cracks during times of transition. She has truly made our community a better place!”
The YPN would like to thank all the members who nominated non-profit organizations. To learn more about Ministry on the Margins, visit www.ministryonthemargins.com.
