Role in the YP Network: Recently involved on the Cinco planning committee
Why do you feel it is important to be part of the YP Network/what is your favorite part of being a member of YP? As a young professional, not originally from the area, the YP network has especially been important to me to help me get to know other young professionals in the Bismarck/Mandan area. The network has helped me grow in my career and as a member of our community. I have been able to get to know others that can help me professionally and have developed personal relationships with. My favorite part of being a in the Young Professionals Network is being able to give back to the community through service projects and events! Without community service from our younger generations, our markets would not be as prosperous as they currently are!
What professional advice do you have for any other young professionals?: My advice for other young professionals would be to always to better yourself, personally and professionally. Always be kind and genuine in everything you do. Surround yourself with people you admire, people that will cheer you on and help you succeed in life and ditch the ones who breed negativity.
How do you spend your free time?: My favorite way to spend my free time is doing auntie things with my niece and nephew. I am an on the whim traveler. I work two jobs and love them both, so I spend a lot of time working. Otherwise, you will catch me doing anything that involved my friends and family, crafting, or just doing dog mom things with my dog, Odin.
What is your favorite quote?: “Some people dream of success while others wake up and work.”
Fun fact(s):
I am a helicopter dog mom to my medium sized rescue dog – please do not ask me his breed, I do not know it. He has four legs. He is kind of blonde, kind of tan. He is approximately 53 pounds. He is full of spunk, can run for days, and loves snow days with all of his being.
I am a strong supporter of bloody Mary brunches!
I have only been an employee of 3 companies, I am still employed at 2 of them.
I was hired at the Bismarck Olive Garden on the first day I moved to Bismarck 7 years ago. I would bleed pasta, if that was even a thing.
