The Bismarck-Mandan Young Professionals Network’s Service Team partnered with Bismarck-Mandan Far West Rotary on Saturday, May 12 to pick up trash along the Missouri River. A group of 20 from both service organizations walked along the river for an hour collecting garbage–covering almost a mile in each direction–and then gathered for a post-cleanup barbecue and fellowship in Sertoma Park.
Far West Rotary has cleaned the river each spring for a number of years, and, this year, the group invited the YP Network to join in the project. It was the first event in what the YP Network hopes will be a successful partnership with Far West Rotary.
